This Kitchen Cabinet became known during the time the Peranakan Chinese began to settle in Indonesia, around the 18th century. This type of kitchen cabinet has a sort of animal cage at the very bottom section, which was used to house animals that were about to be slaughtered, such as chickens, ducks, and so on."
